The Makita DUC353Z Twin 18V / 36V Brushless Motor Chainsaw sets new standards for cordless chainsaws, matching the performance of similar-sized petrol-powered saws. This saw offers the benefits of cordless machines, including zero emissions, super-quiet operation, total control, efficiency, and safety. The Makita 36V direct-drive Brushless motor has a rated output similar to a 32cc petrol machine, and it is equipped with a 35cm length bar and a chain speed of 20 meters per second. With two fully charged 5.0Ah batteries, it can deliver over 60 cuts through 5-inch diameter timber or at least seven linear meters of cutting per charge. The chainsaw features an ergonomic soft-grip handle, variable speed trigger, constant speed control, automatic electric chain brake, kickback brake protection, and lock-off lever. It also has a 200ml chain oil tank with adjustable flow through the pump and metal gears for the automatic chain lube system, along with a capacity display window. The tool-less chain tensioning and adjustment system is included, and a strong metal spike bumper allows for easier cutting. The chain catcher is removable for efficient machine servicing. In addition to the drive brake safety systems, the main power system automatically turns off if the operator does not grip the lock-off lever within 10 seconds of switching on or squeeze the trigger switch within one minute after switch-on.
